I've been wearing the Xiaomi Smart Band 8 every day for 4 months — during workouts, sleep, and daily commutes. At $35, it's still the best budget fitness tracker on AliExpress, but it has a few annoying quirks you should know about before buying.

👎 Cons
- GPS only works via phone connection (no built-in GPS)
- SpO2 sensor is inaccurate compared to medical devices
- Strap feels cheap — replaced it after 2 months

After 30 Days: Daily Driver
I wore it 24/7 for the first month. Step counting is surprisingly accurate (±5% compared to my manual count). Sleep tracking became my favorite feature — it correctly identified nights when I woke up at 3 AM.
After 90 Days: Real Wear & Tear
The silicone strap started showing signs of wear after 2 months. Small scratches on the plastic body from hitting doorframes. Screen is still pristine though (thanks to the raised bezel).

At $35, this is a steal. If you want GPS or music storage, look at the Band 8 Pro (~$55). For pure fitness tracking on a budget, nothing beats it in 2026.
